Kappa Kappa Psi & Tau Beta Sigma have a new National Executive Director!
The National Councils of Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma are thrilled to announce that our new National Executive Director, Mr. Steve Nelson, has begun his tenure at the National Headquarters.
Steve has a long history with our organizations, beginning with his initiation into the Alpha chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi in 1980 and his honorary membership in the Alpha chapter of Tau Beta Sigma in 1987. Since then, Steve has gained many professional experiences that will benefit our organizations in many ways, including service as the National Member-at-Large and SWD Governor for Kappa Kappa Psi and time as the Publications Manager for the National Headquarters of Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma.

Please help us in welcoming him into this new position.
Kappa Kappa Psi Caboose & TBS Memorial Garden Dedication
To some it is unknown, to others it is just another college town, but to Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma, Stillwater Oklahoma is home. Our organizations have been headquartered in the home of Grace and A. Frank Martin, the Oklahoma State University campus, and since 1991, the old Stillwater Santa Fe railroad station. Stillwater has a special meaning to everyone in Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma, and the week of July 21, 2014 it was buzzing with activity.
Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma, had not hosted a major event in Stillwater since 2004. This summer our national and district leaders came for meetings, our District Leadership Conference, and to celebrate the legacy of our organizations. The highlight of the weekend was the dedication of the Kappa Kappa Psi Caboose and the Wava Memorial Garden. The event welcomed over 180 brothers and sisters, including 12 of our national presidents:
- Frank Stubbs, Alpha Xi (1985-1987)
- Kenneth Corbett, Zeta Chi (1989-991)
- Melvin Miles Jr., Eta Gamma (1993-1995)
- Timothy Greenwell, Eta Zeta (1995-1997)
- Scott Stowell, Alpha Eta (1997-1999)
- Dr. Michael Golemo, Zeta Omicron (1999-2001)
- Michael Osborn, Epsilon Zeta (2003-2005)
- Dr. Rod Chesnutt, Gamma Nu (2005-2007)
- Dr. Malinda Matney, Nu (2007-2009)
- Derrick Mills, Eta (2009-2011)
- Adam Cantley, Omicron (2011-2013)
- Christine Beason, Eta Delta (2013-2015)
The Caboose project began in 2004 and thanks to the generous donations of brothers and sisters, notable Al and Gladys Wright, Kappa Kappa Psi was thrilled to open it on July 26, 2014 for everyone to enjoy. This space it meant to be place where brothers can learn about our history and celebrate the legacy of Kappa Kappa Psi. The organizations also had the extreme pleasure of dedicating the Wava Memorial Garden in honor of the founder of Tau Beta Sigma. With sisters, the family of Wava Banes Turner Henry, and our brothers, the sorority formally dedicated a space to celebrate Wava and what she has done not only for Tau Beta Sigma, but for all us and college bands.
Kappa Kappa Psi would like thank all of you who visited Stillwater for these events. We encourage all of our members to visit our organization headquarters. It is a memorable experience and connects us to the founding of our organization.
For more information about Stillwater Station or to schedule a visit to headquarters, please contact our National Headquarters Staff (405-372-2333).
