Kappa Kappa Psi has recently seen a shift in the position of Western District Governor. After six years of service in this position, Tanya Marsh has stepped down at Western District Governor. First, I want to thank her for service to Kappa Kappa Psi as Western District Governor since 2005. Tanya and I have been discussing this transition and I informed the national council of it this past weekend in Texas at our winter meeting. She is a tremendous leader for our organization and brings a lot of talent. It is for this reason she will be staying on as the chair of the Leadership Task Force.
While Tanya has been on maternity leave, James Llamas from the Psi Chapter has stepped in as support for the Western District. I have consistently been impressed with his work as a chapter officer at UCLA, Western District officer, colony advisor, and in this role as acting governor. James and I completed our conversations via phone and e-mail, and he has accepted the position as Western District Governor for the 2011-2013 biennium. Please join me in welcoming James to the team.
Since both Tanya and James will be playing vital roles in the fraternity, we have just gained another resource. It will be exciting to have both of them working to better our organization.
Please join in thanking both Tanya and James for their service to Kappa Kappa Psi.
