Daniel George (Southwest) is a native of Dallas,
Texas and attended the University of Texas at Arlington
where he earned a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Mathematics
(1991) and a Bachelors of Business Administration Degree
in Accounting (1997). Danny is a Certified Public Accountant. While at UT-Arlington he joined the
Delta Sigma Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi in the fall of
1988. He held various offices in chapter from
Vice-president to President to Treasurer and even spent
some time as Chapter Parliamentarian. His District
Council experience began in 1993 when he was elected to
the office of Secretary-Treasurer and then appointed
President for 1994 SWD Convention. The convention was
held in Stillwater, OK to celebrate Kappa Kappa Psi's
75th Anniversary. He was elected for a complete term as
District President during that convention. After a short
break from the District Council he was then appointed to
the SWD Alumni Chair position in 1996-97. During that
year he promoted chapter-alumni relations, but realized
that the District's funds could be better allocated to
students concerns and needs and that the National Alumni
Association could better fill the Chapter-Alumni void.
This in turn led to Danny being the last Alumni Chair for
the Southwest District. Somewhere along the way the
phrase The Danny George Experience was coined
and has a world of different meanings. You should ask him
sometime... In the summer of 2001, at the National
Convention in Corpus Christi, Texas, Danny was officially
appointed to the position of Southwest District Governor.
Danny enjoys traveling although most recently has been
doing so in and around the SWD. However, he occasionally
visits other District Conventions and has been to each
one at least once. He had the privilege of being inducted
as an honorary member of the Midwest District in March of
2004. Outside of Kappa Kappa Psi, Daniel is very involved
in his church where he is a Deacon and one of the choir
directors in the music ministry. Currently he is also
serving as the President of the University of Texas at
Arlington Band Alumni Association, Inc. where he served
as Treasurer from 2000-2004.

theory at J. Frank Dobie High School in Houston, TX,
where his ensembles won numerous awards at state and
